Director of Children's Ministry (Job Description)

The Director of Children’s Ministries curates a community of children (birth - 5th grade) and adults who have fun sharing church.
The Director collaborates with the Senior Minister, church staff, lay leaders, volunteers, and families to plan, coordinate, and implement Sunday School, children’s worship experiences, Children’s Moment, nursery care, midweek programming, special events, and outreach opportunities. This position also oversees volunteers and nursery staff, coordinates curriculum, ensures appropriate safety procedures are followed, stays informed of current trends in Christian education, and maintains clear communication across all children’s ministry areas.
The Director will enthusiastically support and promote the mission, values, and goals of First Christian Church within the congregation and wider community.
Additionally, the Director will perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Minister.

The Director of Youth Ministries curates a community of youth (6th - 12th grade) and adults who have fun sharing church.
The Director collaborates with the Senior Minister, church staff, lay leaders, volunteers, and families to plan, coordinate, and implement Sunday School, mission trips, midweek programming, special events, and outreach opportunities. This position also oversees volunteers coordinates curriculum, ensures appropriate safety procedures are followed, stays informed of current trends in Christian education, and maintains clear communication across all children’s ministry areas.
The Director will enthusiastically support and promote the mission, values, and goals of First Christian Church within the congregation and wider community.
