<P><FONT size=2 face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Join us for one of our Ash Wednesday Services as we begin our Journey to the Cross and the season of Lent on March 9th. <BR><BR>We will provide two (2) services for our First Christian Church Congregation and for the Community. <BR><BR>Each service will include an opportunity for Communion and offer the “imposition of Ashes.” </FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2 face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The first service will be at Noon. The second service will be at 7:00 PM. Both will be in our Sanctuary. <BR><BR>The 40-day period of Lent signifies the wandering of Christ, and Ash Wednesday is celebrated as a day of repentance and penance, humility and a return to the humble life of Christ. <BR><BR>Though Ash Wednesday has no mention in the Bible, it is an important Holy Day in the Christian calendar. It helps us to seek God, abstain from evil and to identify with the humility of Christ. <BR><BR>Join us as we begin the journey to the Cross and prepare for the celebration of Easter!</FONT></P>
